Google Street View - Want your image removed?

Well, apparently it is not as easy as you might think. A post on Wired.com reveals that google requires a checklist of items to be completed in order to remove your picture. You must prove that you are without a doubt, the individual represented in the image. Google requires you…

• Provide your legal name
• provide your email address
• provide the street view address of the image you would like removed
• include a sworn statement
• Include an image of your driver’s license
• email all to google maps legal team

Poulsen brings up the interesting point. Which is worse as a citizen, google displaying an unauthorized picture or google having an image of your drivers license?

Is Google street view on the verge of invading people’s privacy? There are dozens of posts that highlight how easily it can be done.
