I’ve realized that I haven’t updated my MySpace page like I used to and I find my friends asking me what’s new in my life. Some friends didn’t even know I got engaged. Yes, I am engaged to the beautiful Tristen. We got engaged on April 21 of 2007. It really is a sweet story too. A death in the family changed out plans to go visit the northeast. Instead, I told her I was going to take her out of town for the weekend. We went down to Melbourne to visit my folks and took a drive on Saturday. It wasn’t until we passed under the gates of Disney, with me whistling “its a small world”, did she realize where we were going. She was instantly excited. What she didn’t know is that her parents and grandmother, along with my parents were also on their way to the Magic Kingdom. She began to watch a show in front of the castle and I faked a stomach ache. Met up with the family behind the castle and changed into a suit that her parents bought down with them. Walked around front with family behind. She knew as soon as she saw me in my suit. She began to cry and cried even harder when she saw her family. We all spent the rest of the day walking around the park. It was rather perfect.

So as of late, my life is beginning to help plan a wedding. We are getting married on April 26, 2007 at Club Continental in Orange Park. Her cousin is her matron of honor and I have my great friend from Melbourne, Craig, be my best man. I have two other groomsmen, Shiv and Vince (who chooses not to have a MySpace page). They will be coming down from Philadelphia for the big event. We are in the early stages of planning the wedding but we have a few things nailed down; Date (most important), location, her dress, and our honeymoon to Jamaica. We are starting to get on the ball for DJ’s and Photographers.

Most recently, Tristen and I have moved in together. It has been just over a week and things are going good. For the most part we are all unpacked. We are getting ready to have garage sale this weekend to get rid of some stuff. Combining two lives into one suddenly leaves alot of extra things that are no longer needed. The apartment is great and we are doing everything we can to make it our own.

Things are going well at Venus. I am beginning to take more of an interest in my responsibilities and it is forcing to branch out and really dig around on the web. It is really what is behind my recent interest to begin this blog. I figure I am doing alot of research and reading so why not share what I find. I am finding it to be a great way to stay on top of the latest in email marketing and usability.

Of course I have already mentioned my recent interest in photography. I have learned so much with this and started my own gallery site back in October of 2006. It has been fun and it is forcing me to be creative once again. Something I lost when I decided to not pursue my career as a musician.
