I’m just your average band dork turned internet geek. Actually not really. I started out in College pursuing a career in music education. During my tenure at Florida State University, I had decided that I needed to change my major to something a little more stable. I received a BS in Information Studies in August of 2002. Shortly after, I started at GSI Commerce working in their call center in Melbourne, Florida. I eventually became part of a business management team located in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania where I helped manage three websites including Wilsons Leather, kate spade, and Bath & Body Works. I was doing everything from email marketing to small project management. In June of 2006, I had moved to Jacksonville, Florida to begin work at Venus where I am presently employed. With Venus came a new set of responsibilities. I had the opportunity to become a Certified Online Testing Professional through a class I took with MarketingExperiments.com which has given me the knowledge to plan, conduct, and analyze A|B and multivariate tests. Along with A|B testing, I am also responsible for usability studies and focus groups. I spend much of my time research the latest trends in usability in order to apply best practices to changes we make to our website everyday. In addition to A|B Testing and usability, I have also become a self proclaimed project manager . Email marketing has also began to occupy much of my time. With so many changes that are happening to the various ISP’s, it is a challenge to keep up with everything that will ensure our emails get delivered. I’ve also been able to combine email marketing and A|B testing which has been a great way to learn.
